Not from a personal experience but from fear thy neighbor the tv show with the Moore family and the Rolland neighbor feud I think it was crazy ridiculous and stupidity on the police dept. when they were called out there that many times and could see the situation getting worse and worse with every call and still did nothing because "we don't go by guessing or feeling" which is understandable but how about common freakin sense even though they had video from a home security camera on at least 1 occasion but they said u couldn't see for sure weather it was Rolland or not which again goes back to common sense. News flash 9 times out of 10 someone is not going to break the law right in front of a police officer but isnt that the reason we have police to defuse situations b4 they get out of control the sheriffs had multiple chances to do this but they always want to put it on the victims I advise you to do this I advise you to do that that is why you the sheriffs office exist to handle these types of situations b4 they escalate and become more serious but it's like they just brushed each call off. I can tell you some people just end up with crazy or ignorant neighbors that does not mean that both parties should be classified some how as a newswnce for whoever is on patrol that shift. There are sometimes a victim and calling the law is the only option left b4 trying to handle the situation on their own terms so they don't end up in trouble with the law which is exactly what the Moore family did time and time again. But all the officer could ever tell them is we didn't see it we can't do anything about it. THIS IS B.S. that is what you all are suppose to be here for, maybe the officers should read there own car every now and again most say " to protect and serve" I think this sheriff dept. fell well short of that when they allowed a young girl and her disabled father to get shot on their front porch while talking to the officers. This episode outraged me with law inforcement and despite what this review may seem like I am very supportive of Americas law enforcement. But what Sgt Tom McManus said "if it's not being done while we are there or in our presence there's nothing we can do" if that's really the case then our justice system is broke and law enforcement is pretty much just a waiste of tax payers money. Then Sgt McManus continued to say "at some point you have to take personal responsibility for your own actions we had given them all the advice we could have given them." This dept. should have taken responsibility citizens don't call 911 for advice they call for action to be taken. Unfortunately 2 people had to get shot before this dept. took any action and that is unacceptable.
